So on one of my recent travels with my friend who had to go to Bombay to take care of some work. I tagged along to create some chaos on the way there and back. From my faintest of memories I will recall and put together, some of the highlight moments of the trip.
The beginning:
So we started early in the morning at around 9.00 pm from Pune, outside my house in a Wanowrie. I remember, as organized as it seemed arriving early in the morning, it could only be done for something so fun.Me and my friend sat in his car, a new one by the way, automatic that was all in all a great drive. We sat in the car at around 9.15 am, usually a time at which id be dozing in my bed dreaming of Valhalla, that day I was charged and ready for Bombay. We took a few selfies in the car together, argued wether to buy Red Bull’s or not and on we went turking for Red Bull’s and a stop for some breakfast. I remember stopping for fuel before we hit the road and by the time we knew it, we were hitting the express highway.I think the munchies in the car were so good, (or my friend was driving really fast. ) I directly remember stepping into south Bombay and seeing the Chatrapati terminus, before having made a reservation on the expressway to have lunch, (at a 4.7 rated restaurant on zomato.) after a failed first few attempts of landing a reservation, we arrived at last at a college near the Victoria terminus, the name of which I can’t recall. The campus looked great, with a big football and cricket ground to their disposal, which made for a great view as soon as we got off.
Next stop: Chatrapati Shivaji terminus.
Having landed in Bombay and having work on our hands we set off to Chatrapati Shivaji terminus, which had only upgraded in terms of infrastructure and visual appeal than my last visit and never failed to amaze. The new seats, the entry gates, the platforms itself looked much more organized and cleaner than before. We sat around for a bit still starving from not having eaten right on the way, the station seemed charming enough. My friend told me he was there to meet a friend of his to return him some old borrowings he had to repay. We met the man and we set off to Bayroute for a fabulous middle eastern / Arabian meal, pictures of which are posted below.

3: Courtcase:
Have you ever been to a court? Let alone a high court, that too in Mumbai, the Mumbai high court: One of the most sophisticated, charming and god awfully beautiful judicial or government buildings I have ever seen. We arrived at 2.45 pm at the court premises. Having payed Rs. 300/- for parking or approximately $6 to park India which is pretty much the costliest valet I’ve seen one avail. Me and my friend made our way to the court, we separated ways for a bit, having to grab a cigarette and a Red bull at 32°C in the humiduous Bombay, for me seemed appropriate.
After having done the same I set off to the court myself cooling down in the lobby before having my friend rescue me to the courtroom where I was guided to a vacant seat with my friend beside me as we watched on, My friends lawyer thrashed the opposition with some majorly interesting points to make the case. The verdict and further hearing was moved to a due date 2 weeks ahead of that date and after being invited by my friend for a promising return to the big City, I contemplated wether I would make my way back, having to clear my schedule.
Last but not the least:
We made our way to a cafe at Colaba, where me and my friend sat across the greatest view of the sea, at least I had ever seen. We ordered beers and smoke cigarettes and an E-ciagrette that I got really fond of. In the horizon I could see ships of all sorts, from a naval fleet/warship, to commercial yatch’s owned by some rich people, to ferry’s, heck even cruise liners. All in all what a show it was, put up for us to watch. We almost concurred that this was the best rooftop sea facing experience we had ever come across. Couldn’t get enough of that. We eventually decided on leaving and got to the car.

We tanked supplies on the way (having paid $5 again, for valet) , now set off back to (Some beers and cigarettes to keep us on, till the way back) and off on the highway. Having made a snack stop at one of the fabulous food courts on the express way and having tried to drive an automatic car on the highway like a maniac( which didn’t end well.) I made it to the end of the journey and back home to Pune. My friend and I parted ways after the car almost broke down and I was forced to take the car. I am still in awe and owe my friend lots of love and treat after having this journey made into a successful and moreover delighted on(He even paid the cab driver on the way back home!) . On the drive back I spoke to the cab driver who made me realize the importance of a few things in life I could never comprehend and we drove off back home, making me realise how hard work pays off. All that being said I hope you all enjoy the post, it being the first one and hope you all find peace in reading about my life and my adventures and keep coming back for more.
